**As of 8:15PM on Wednesday Night 11/12, we have reached our capacity again and have shut down the assistance request form. We will update our Facebook Page if the form opens again**
Families in the Oxford area are experiencing a pause in SNAP assistance, and you can help. By becoming a Grocery Buddy, you’ll cover one grocery order for a local family—either through pickup or delivery from Kroger or Walmart. A small act of care keeps our community fed and connected. How it works:
We tried to create a simple operation for connecting those with needs and those who are eager to help.

1) Contact Information
Neighbors who have lost SNAP assistance fill out a quick online form to give us a little information on their needs, including how many people live with them and what their TOP 5 Grocery needs are currently.
2) Pairing Buddies
Volunteers also fill out a quick online form and organizers connect them with a neighbor who has lost assistance via text message.
3) Order Groceries and Send
Volunteers order groceries online from a local store with delivery and have them delivered to their Grocery Buddy or arrange for them to be picked up from the store. Both Buddies confirm with the organizers that the order was completed.
Important Notes:
- This exchange is organized to only use grocery delivery services or pickup at the grocery store on purpose, in order to simplify operations and protect everyone involved. Please stick to that plan.
- If you would rather send money and let us order the groceries, there are instructions for doing that on the volunteer sign up form.
- We know that people find themselves in seasons of need for a wide range of different reasons. Although we are trying to share only the necessary pieces of personal information with your Buddy, please know that they have been asked to keep any details they receive confidential.
- The Grocery Buddy program is a community-led effort to bridge gaps in food access. By participating, you understand that it’s organizers are not responsible for the quality, safety, or preparation of food items purchased or delivered. Participation is voluntary and based on mutual trust and respect.
- If you’ve never sent a grocery delivery order before, you can learn how at these links: Walmart // Kroger
- The forms on this page are for the Oxford area only. If you are a volunteer who would like to expand this effort to your local areas, fill out this form.
